The Brandywine Valley SPCA is expanding to South Jersey to become the first Animal Welfare Organization in the country to operate in three states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

The Brandywine Valley SPCA will now operate in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey after agreeing to affiliate with Lindenwold’s Animal Adoption Center.

Let’s Clear the Shelters! Meet Peter Parker, a sweet dog who is a looking for a fur-ever home. He is available for adoption at the Pennsylvania SPCA. 

It’s a happy ending for a dog who was rescued from danger in Delaware. Winnie was saved when firefighters found her in a tree over the Rehoboth Canal in August. After waiting to see if her potential owner would come forward to claim her, Winnie finally found her furever family. 

Jack Jokinen, the author of a brand new children’s book “A Stray Dog for Christmas” sits down with Philly Live’s Sheila Watko to discuss the inspiration behind the book.

Over 35,000 adoptions have been made at local animal shelters since Clear the Shelters began 10 years ago. NBC10’s Ted Greenberg reports. 

More than 70 rescues and shelters in the Philadelphia region are participating in this year’s Clear the Shelters campaign. Thousands of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and farm animals, are looking for fur-ever homes. Participating shelters are waiving or reducing feeds today. 

Bernie Parent is regarded as one of the best hockey goalies of all time. He helped the Flyers win two Stanley Cups in the 1970s. Now, he’s spending his retirement feeling like a winner all over again with his beloved dog. NBC10’s Matt DeLucia reports.

What happens when police officers find a stray animal but a shelter isn’t close by? One police department in Pennsylvania saw a need so they created their own shelter that’s working to dogs new forever homes. NBC10’s Deanna Durante reports.
